Richard Avedon at Foam

It was friday the 13th.
I went to Richard Avedon's exposition Richard Avedon - Photographs 1946-2004 in Foam and I didn't expect to see that many photo's of him. But I've been told it was only a small part of his work...!

You weren't allowed to take pictures but a lot of people were doing it. Sneaky bastards. Including me.

-Avedon (may 15th, 1923 - october 1st, 2004). Revolutionary fashion photographer.-

Highlight of the week. For sure!

oh, when i read your words, i want to go visit again. i saw the exhibition 2 weeks ago and his work is so amazing. i've seen many photography exhibitions, but i can't remember one made me so happy as richard avedon's did. those faces, those eyes, but also his capture of zeitgeist in - especially for some moments in time - groundbreaking pieces of art.
