Amsterdam, october 2062.

Sometimes, I have these futuristic images of myself. But where do I really end up? Amsterdam? Seattle?
Perhaps I don't even make it to 2062. You know, last week I was thinking about the following: every living person on this planet will be gone within a 100 years. We will be replaced by our next generation. But what if we are the last generation? The whole planet will be deserted...

It 'll be like the movie I am Legend.

May I ask where you are located right now? And do you stay there for the rest of your life...?

An image from the future of me and my wife in 2062.

Taken with the Olympus Pen EE in Ceintuurbaan, de Pijp (October 2009)

Wow, awesome photo! Well, you know my life is between NJ/NY... But I know I'll never stop moving around, it's just what I like and the way it's always been...

I have no idea where I will end up, but I will be living everywhere because that is what I love to do.

As for your question: check my blog. :)

Nice future in 2062, and interesting reflexions :) I don't where but I would like to change my location (Bydgoszcz right now). PS. I decribed places where I taken my pics.

Wow JD, such dark thoughts and gloomy wonderings.
In 2062 I will be 104. I never really thought about where to spend the rest of my life, I like it where I am now in the mountains. I just hope that wherever I've been hasn't left a negative impact on the planet.
I know of your 100 year theory, it's the true meaning of impermanence. The buddists talk about it. Maybe you should travel to Tibet. xo

I love that picture. I like that it's a lil blurred like it's time going past.

I live in New York state, U.S.A. I live about 20 minutes outside of New York City. I plan on staying in this area probably for a very long time. It's home. Every time I leave I love coming back. I might leave a lil bit of time here & there but I think I'll keep coming back to this area.

I hope we're not the last generation because there is too much left to see, to explore, to enjoy for generations to come.

Very great photo in your most-like neighbourhood, de Pijp. I think you really wanna stay in this place in 2062...ha- you will be having a house or nice appartment over there.

HK is my home, in 2062, I will be still there...before 2062, i still wanna have chance to live in another country:)

I seems as if well both be hitting crossroads in our lives soon. Wheee we end up, I'm not completely sure. but when we get there it will be cool to look back to such a seemingly uncertain time in our lives with clarity and peace. I was reading your post on Seattle and smiled. I've always felt as if that city was calling. But maybe after japan. Ps I love Tokyo, but I figure I could go there on weekends, when in my life will I get an authentically rural Japanese experience?

Wow, what a picture!

I'm in Bristol, in the UK. I'd love to move away, but my heart will always belong to the little village where I grew up and live now.

Wow ! Special thoughts...
well, I live in the South (area) of Antwerp...will not live here forever, maybe not, but it will always be a place to come home too ...
It feels like a comfort blanket to me.
I'd like to have and work on some challenges and wanna see loads of places around the world. Lately I have this feeling that I need to do it NOW cause it's gonna be all over pretty soon (told you before that lots of things happened, young people died in my community and that sharpens the feeling even more)

sometimes, when i'm in the street, i look at ppl. ... and wonder... what kind of an old lady will i be?
will i be one of those ladys who walk around a lot... have fun... or will i be tired all the time?
something about becoming old... makes me really ... nervous or something...

but is nice... i like to see time passing...
is something i enjoy about not being SO young anymore... i can just watch... and think twice before take action...
(well, not always... specially if i fall in love.. in that time all my youthness take control of me...)

lovely picture.
have a nice time.

Beautiful photo.
Thats such a sad thought :|
With global warming/war/the state of the world we live in it's highly unlikely any of us will make it to 2030, apparently.
I'm in London, England atm.
I don't see myself here forever, which makes me think I should appreciate it more for the beautiful city that it is

Love the blurry!

re: I was in Florence for a few hours.. So hard to give a fair picture of the people and the city. There were so many tourists, I guess far more tourists than people who live there actually. It was hard to walk around! ^.^
