Getting a tattoo

Uhm...no. But maybe later.

- Picture taken on this day -

When I was really, really young and into basketball, I wanted to get myself an NBA tattoo...how silly is that huh? And I've also wanted to have a tattoo of a man dunking and crashing a basket...that would've been the ultimate basketball-geek-tattoo EVER.

And now that I'm older, I'm sooo glad I didn't get one. Years later, I've thought about getting a huuuge tattoo which would cover my whole arm from the shoulder to the wrist, but a few weeks later I've changed my mind. Haha! (But MAYBE I'll get that tat one day. And when that day comes, I'm going to LA and get it done by this hottie)

Have you ever considered getting a tattoo? Perhaps you already have one...or two, three or more!!

Hahahaha, Kat von D, I imagined you were referring to her... whom else? :P But I've never in my life watched Miami Ink or LA Ink or any of those shows, I just know her from all the ads that were on buses way back before the show premiered.

Anyway, I have three tattoos... not, hahaha (you fell for it a second, huh? Yes, you did, don't deny it!). I'm not really big on them, actually, though I have thought about getting one before... but I don't think that will ever happen. I think it would ruin my body forever. I don't mind them on other people, though... depending on what they are.

And I didn't know you were THAT much into basketball, haha. An NBA tattoo? Thank the universe you didn't get it!

I'm exactly the same when it comes to tattoos. I was really into moto-x and wanted to get the fox symbol on my lower back. I still want a tattoo but don't think i'll ever be able to decide on one I know I'll be happy with forever!!

Was that a link to Kat Von D? If I ever got one I'd want it to be done by Miami Inks Chris Nunez :]

Hi,

Thnx for your comment againg! :D

tattoos could look nice, but given how fickle i am, i'd probably change my mind by the time i've had it done...

I am always tempted but then I think when I'm 60 and my skin isn't what it once was it might not look so good. My friend got my brother's initials tattooed on her stomach... and then they broke up.
You could go for one of those tattoos that last five years then fade or something? One over your whole arm would be bloody painful though!
I really like the photo by the way, the composition really draws your focus to the woman in the middle. Very interesting.

I wanted to have one when I was in my early twenties and even askem my mom if she was ok with it and she said yes ! The moment I knew what 'design' I wanted (a sun with rays but in a very special way and tattood on my upper foot, I discoverd I was pregnant and the tattoo guy called The Spider (oh yes !) the appointment off - too dangerous when pregnant !!
Now I'm glad I still haven't got one but I really like some star(s) in white ink (oh yes) on my wrist and I really REALLY like a SHHH on my index finger ... still considering .... :-D

yeah Kat Von D. is hot, but if there's anyone who can do my tattoo it's fuckin Ami James. He could tattoo me wherever the fuck he'd like. And he's Jewish as well so that just makes it even better.

Oh man, I relate to you on this. Ive had sooo many ideas of that tattoo that I want but then Im over it in a couple of weeks. That is why I'm ink free. Because I can't stick with one idea long enough to ever assume Id be fine with it my entire life. I think tattoos are beautiful, when they mean something, and they are just hot. But I've seen some pretty silly "drunk mistakes" that people have to live with forever.

I have a huge love of Tinkerbell and when I was younger I wanted a Tinkerbell and I figured, well I KNOW I'll love Tinkerbell my entire life but then I got this visual of me as a 90 year old wrinkled up lady and saw my wrinkled Tinkerbell and decided... hmmm... not so much. hahah

If you get a tattoo, make sure it's something you can live with forever, and it's not just a sudden craze or whatever. ;)

i have plenty of tattoos and i sort of regret getting them so early; i was 18. i still think my tattoos are nice and tasteful and beautiful, but i don't feel that my personality resonates with "tattoo culture". i think it may be changing radically nowadays though. it's more mainstream and it's not that big of a deal anymore - not even comparatively to the mood toward tattoos 10 years ago.

also, i think it's different for men, but being a painted lady, as it were, brings a lot of unwanted attention to you. i get strangers grabbing me and i never think that's ok...i even had a drunk guy at a bar lick my arm. gross.

I have four tattoos and I love all of them... I have two in my back, a half sleeve and one in my calf...

Once you get your first you become addicted!

cheers
lo.
